About the Role


The role of a Graphic Designer is to create visual content that communicates the DESS message effectively to our extensive audience. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the typography, colour, imagery and layout of design materials for both digital and print media, whilst translating ideas, messages and brand values into visual form.

About You


Experience: 2+ years of experience in branding and graphic design within an agency or similar setting. Conceptual Skills: Strong ability to develop original and impactful design concepts that align with brand strategy. Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), with expertise in preparing files for different platforms and media. Proficiency in motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere, as well as understanding of HTML coding and design. Expertise in User Interface (UI) Design, working on the visual layout and aesthetic of apps, websites and software interfaces. Competence in presentation tools such as PowerPoint etc. Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to design, with an eye for detail in layout, typography, and colour. Market trends: Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape, and market trends. Portfolio: A diverse portfolio demonstrating expertise in concept development and graphic design. Communication: Excellent verbal and presentation skills to articulate design concepts to internal teams. Creativity: Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling through visuals alongside originality. Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and reach project milestones according to schedule. A can-do attitude. A creative thinker with a passion for written and visual storytelling with originality. A proven track record in delivering engaging social media content for a range of audiences. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Be able to travel between three schools and attend out of hours school events.
