Graphic Designer - Packaging / Box Making (Role & Responsibilities)

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Creativity

Develop box layouts, packaging artwork, and mockups.

Create die lines for rigid boxes, magnetic flap boxes, foldable boxes, and luxury packaging.

Design logos, branding elements, and print-ready vector files.

Prepare artwork for embossing, debossing, foil stamping, UV printing, and screen printing.

2 . Production-Ready Artwork

Ensure files follow correct measurements, bleed, margins, and resolution.

Prepare die lines for cutting, creasing, and CNC/laser work.

Modify designs according to PU leather, paper, MDF, velvet, or suede material requirements.

Coordinate with the production team to confirm feasibility.

3. Client Coordination

Create mockups for client approval.

Make revisions based on client feedback promptly.

Provide visual presentations (PDF/JPEG/3D) for quotations and approvals.

4. Technical Skills

Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop

5. Quality & Accuracy

Double-check measurements and dielines before sending to production.

Maintain high accuracy for logo placement, print orientation, and material alignment.

Create final print-ready files with correct pantone/CMYK settings.

6. Coordination with Internal Teams

Work closely with Sales Team for sample making and client proposals.

Coordinate with Production Supervisor for material compatibility and printing limitations.

Support with artwork for laser engraving, embossing plates, foil blocks, and die-cut tools.

7. Daily Workflow

Manage multiple project files simultaneously.

Ensure timely delivery of artwork to meet client deadlines.

Maintain organized folders and file naming systems.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or related field.

Minimum 1-3 years experience in packaging design (preferred in UAE).

Strong understanding of dielines, rigid box construction, and print processes.

Knowledge of materials: PU leather, paperboard (Kappa/WC/Greyboard), EVA foam, velvet, MDF, acrylic.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
