A new technical school in Al Ain is seeking Media Technology and Design Instructors specializing in Pre-Press Operation, Digital Print, and Finishing for AY 2023-2024. The organization is focused on developing well-qualified and professionally skilled 16\xe2\x80\x9318-year-old youths by providing the educational training and skills necessary for a successful career in today\xe2\x80\x99s world. Duties include providing globally renowned and modern instruction, maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment, and securing positive business and industry relationships. Job Specifications:
- Responsible for planning, managing, and improving the learning of students, working with other team members.
- In collaboration with the team to implement and continually improve curriculum, teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
- To manage the learning of the students and collaborate with other teachers.
- To manage all facilities and activities related to achieving student learning.
- To play a leadership role in role-modeling behavior, attitudes, and learning behaviors for students.
- To develop and maintain teaching materials and assist with program quality assurance processes.
- Master Craftsman Diploma or University degree in a relevant field, or equivalent.
- Analytically thinking and acting and ability to grasp new concepts rapidly and prioritize key topics
- Dedicated, reliable team player with good intercultural skills and a sound awareness of gender issues
- Fluent business English skills.
- Excellent oral and written English essential.
- IELTS 7 Academic for non-first language English speakers only \xe2\x80\x93 mandatory.
- Arabic Language is an advantage.
- Minimum 5-8 years of practical experience in a relevant media design area working in a teaching and / or production environment, requiring the use of computer programs, job layout, basic graphic design, and printing especially digital printing.
- Candidate should have comprehensive knowledge of internal workings of a printing facility, in particular pre-press work with graphic arts, digital printing, paper cutting and finishing processes.
- Knowledge of a wide variety of computer programs (Mac & PC) used in graphics design and production. Skilled in use of desktop publishing, design layout, form creation, Photoshop, and Illustrator software.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching/training with experience in qualification delivery.
- Ability to teach the following:
- Pre-Press Operation, Digital Print, and Finishing Specialty
- professional electronic publishing, imaging, and pre-press software to design publications.
- create graphics, prepare publications for production on digital printing in accordance with graphic arts printing industry standards.
- Intercultural awareness
- IT skills
- Up-to-date knowledge about legal requirements related to media design, in particular legally relevant rules related to consent to the publishing of pictures and videos.
- Work experience in GCC region or similar location.
