Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently looking for a Graduate Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE
This is a Home Office position based in Dubai, Normal working time will be 45 hours per week.- Reporting to the Lead Discipline Engineer, the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned engineering tasks
- To carry out process discipline work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil & gas production facilities
- To prepare process safery deliverables for a project in the oil and gas industry, and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client’s policies and procedures.
- To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule.
- To promote safe behaviour at all times.
- To carry out tasks as directed by the Lead / Senior Discipline Engineers
- To co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up
- To assist in the coordination of all activities related to process engineering design
- MSc / BSc in Chemical Engineering
- Familiar with the fundamentals of process safety engineering design and analysis
- Clear communicator with good interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and self-reliant
- Problem solver
- Open analytic thinker and innovator
- Good communicator with willingness to share knowledge andnsupport others
- Strong commitment to safety
- Fluent in English and Arabic
