22033BR Requisition Number: 22033BR Description: Stantec in Dubai, UAE has an immediate opening for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team.
  • \\tAccept and take ownership. as required, to produce specific REVIT/AutoCAD drawings and engineering models (as directed by the Team Leader) on time and to the required quality standards.
  • \\tPrepares AutoCAD and Revit engineering drawings for structural elements such as slabs, beams, columns, foundations based on sketches by design engineer.
  • \\tPrepares schedule of reinforcements for beams, slabs, columns based on information from senior design engineer.
  • \\tPrepares deliverables for submissions at various stages or as and when required.
  • \\tMaintains drawing lists, drawing issue schedules and archives of drawings issued to various recipients.
  • \\tMaintains standard structural details as well as a library of repeated details under the supervision of senior drafters.
  • \\tReview documents for structural coordination and to verify accuracy and compliance with applicable BIM/CAD standards.
  • \\tMonitor and maintain technical quality in own documentation and communicate regular task updates to senior technician overseeing the work.
  • \\tUnder guidance from Senior Technologist/Senior Engineers, produce documentation relevant and sensitive to the structural design intent and participate with others in developing technical solutions.
  • \\tDevelop an understanding of technical quality tools & guidelines within the office.
  • \\tMaintain, enhance and apply technical knowledge to ensure all documentation comply with relevant and current legislation / authority regulations / building codes.
  • \\tPrepare structural models and calculations utilizing industry recognized software such as ETABS, STAAD etc. under the supervision of the Senior Technician/Senior Engineers
  • \\tDisplay a high level of professional behavior.
Title: Graduate Structural Engineer (UAE National) Qualifications:
  • \\tRelevant BIM/CAD/tertiary qualification or equivalent.
  • \\tMinimum of one year experience in BIM/CAD (preferably REVIT) and MS Office (Word & Excel), MS Project, Sketchup.
  • \\tA desire for gaining knowledge and developing professionally. A team worker and willing volunteer for projects/tasks.
  • \\tPositive attitude towards problem solving with an ability to interact with designers to achieve technical quality in design process.
  • \\tOrganized, methodical with highly developed planning skills.
  • \\tResults orientated, forward-thinking individual possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • \\tHighly motivated individual, who works independently and possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills,.
