Wood is currently looking for an Graduate GIS Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi office for a permanent contract.
The successful candidate must be able to:
+ Should performs desktop study using satellite imagery, topographic survey data and DTM.
+ Should perform 3D, Spatial and Network Analysis in any 2 GIS products.
+ Should be able to create heatmaps, constraint maps,
+ Should be able to supply GIS inputs/outputs according to inter-disciplinary request.
+ Should be able to individually develop solutions, bespoke software using Visual Studio
+ Should be able to perform GIS Mapping, Topology clean-up using various GIS/CAD software
+ Should be able to prepare Contours, Spot heights and Elevation/Terrain-Models
+ Knowledge of python, java scripts for automation is essential
+ Excellent knowledge of MS Office products, Google Earth is essential
+ Knowledge of Remote Sensing software is preferable
+ Knowledge of at least 2 database is essential, one of then a commercially available database (preferably MS SQL) and another an Open source database (preferably PostgreSQL)
+ Bachelor's Degree in Geomatics / Civil Engineering / Geoscience /Mathematics
+ Fresher or with 1 year experience in the same position.
