The role: WKC is offering opportunities to graduate level applicants hoping to get into Environmental Consulting. The role will be based on the UAE with a focus on offering support to WKC’s ecological services. Including marine and/or terrestrial ecology and biodiversity surveys, environmental monitoring (water quality, sediment quality, noise, etc.) and technical report writing (introduction to EIA, environmental management plans, baseline reports etc.).

Candidate Requirements;
The role: WKC is offering opportunities to graduate level applicants hoping to get into Environmental Consulting. Including marine and/or terrestrial ecology and biodiversity surveys, environmental monitoring (water quality, sediment quality, noise, etc.) and technical report writing (introduction to EIA, environmental management plans, baseline reports etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Support WKC ecologists (terrestrial and/or marine) conducting field surveys, including:
- Benthic habitat identification;
- MMRO
- Water quality sampling
- Sediment quality sampling
- Habitat health assessment (e.g. seagrass and coral)
- Turtle nesting and hatching surveys
- Drop down video transects
- SCUBA transects
- Support WKC ecologists in data and sample analysis, including;
- Benthic infauna ID
- Plankton ID
- Video analysis / species identification
- Support WKC ecologist in technical report writing, including;
- Academic research;
- Data summary and presentation;
- GIS presentation;
- Environmental Impact Assessment.
Candidate Requirements;
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in relevant scientific discipline;
- Experience (work or research experience) in field studies;
- Drivers license;
- Licensed SCUBA Diver
