RSK Group, Ltd are looking for a passionate Environmental Graduate Consultant to join our team in Abu Dhabi/Dubai. Candidates will ideally have some practical experience (a placement would suffice) working on environmental projects, ideally within a consultancy. Successful candidates will be working on high profile projects helping some of Middle East's leading organisations to safeguard the environment for the future.
Responsibilities:
Assisting senior consultants with work on a range of projects in the following technical areas: environmental monitoring and baseline surveys, environmental social health impact assessments, environmental auditing and construction environmental management plans
Undertaking fieldwork activities, including site visits and the collating of site data
Assisting technical leads in preparation of reports.
Monitoring campaigns for projects across the Middle East.
Carrying out research into environmental issues, legislation and related topics
Assisting with production of proposals and tenders.
Working with regulators and liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
Supporting senior consultants with project administration and financial management
Contributing to the general running of the office, carrying out office administration tasks
Qualifications:
Hold a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in Environmental science or related discipline
Preferably MSc qualified in relevant subject
Interest or experience in developing specialism such as air, noise or social (advantageous)
Professional Membership (advantageous)
Some experience working on consultancy projects (advantageous)
Some knowledge of UK and UAE environmental legislation
Knowledge of Iraqi legislation (advantageous)
Willingness to travel for short periods of time across the region including Iraq
Excellent English (written and verbal) communication skills
Fluency in Arabic (advantageous)
Ability to think critically and work proactively
Good team player, with the ability to work autonomously
Enthusiastic and well organised
Full driving license
