JOB DESCRIPTION

King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) was founded as a non-profit institution to advance Saudi Arabia’s energy sector and inform global policies through evidence-based advice and applied research. It brings together a national and international group of experts and consultants to maximize the economic impact of the energy sector. KAPSARC fulfills its mission by providing advice to the Saudi energy sector by leveraging its analytical capabilities and expertise and by producing internationally recognized applied research, tools, and data to impact global policymaking.

The KAPSARC Graduate Development Program aims to attract and develop graduates and equip them with practical experience in different career paths. Trainees will gain valuable industry knowledge, ranging from specific energy domains to enabling functions.
PROGRAM TRACKS
Track 1: Knowledge and Analysis (K&A) The K&A track is for applicants who wish to start their career and build technical expertise in specific domains related to energy research such as oil and gas, electricity and renewables, climate and sustainability, transportation and infrastructure, macro-/micro-economics, data wrangling and analytics, mathematical model management and policy simulator development, and operational systems Majors: Public Policy, Climate, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Management Science, Architecture or Computer Science.
Track 2: Consulting The consulting track is for applicants who wish to work with Energy Ecosystem clients to address their business needs, focus on problem solving skills, develop solutions to help with their challenges, and assist them in their organizational transformation. Majors: Engineering, Finance, Economics, M.I.S., Business Administration, Mathematics or Computer Science.
Track 3: Enabling The professional track is for applicants who want to develop their careers in specialized career fields such as human resources, information technology, finance, Internal Audit, Legal, and Strategy. Majors: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Cyber Security, Computer Science or Law.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Hold a Ph.D., Master’s, or bachelor’s degree,
• Have completed their studies in the last 12 months.
• Have an outstanding academic performance with a GPA of 4/5, or the equivalent.
• Are available for a full-time graduate role on a 1-year training contract.
• Be fluent in written and spoken English (will require an IELTS score of 6.5 or its equivalent).
