Job Description

Wood is currently looking to recruit an Associate Accountant (UAE National) to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE office to provide support and assistance to Finance Manager. Below are the responsibilities and duties;

+ Assist in verifications of petty cash and receipts

+ Assist in verifications and cost coding of vendor invoices

+ Assist in verifications and cost coding of employee expense claims

+ Assist in VAT filings and returns

+ Ensure Sage postings are done with accuracy and timeliness

+ Ensure month end deadlines are achieved

+ Liaise with Shared Service Centres in day to day Sage bookings

+ Assist in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function

Interfaces:

+ UAE Country Management Team (HR, Admin,Proposal,BD,Commercial)

+ Various Project Teams within UAE

+ Shared service centres

+ Regional Finance Team

+ Other Wood entities globally

+ External and Internal Auditors

+ Banks, Insurers, Lawyers

+ Bachelor Degree in Finance and / or Accounting

+ Enthusiastic and able to learn things

+ Computer literate, MS Excel skill

+ Good communication skills, adaptable and able to deal with multi-national workforce

+ Strong team spirit

+ Strong work ethics

+ Organized, honest and details-oriented

+ Ability to achieve tight deadlines
