Job Description

Job Summary:

The Grader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment to grade, level, and maintain construction sites, roads, or other large areas. The operator will be required to work on various projects, including road construction, land development, and maintenance of infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating the Grader:

Safely and efficiently operate the grader to perform tasks such as leveling, grading, and finishing surfaces. Adjust blade angles and positions according to specifications and project requirements.

Site Preparation:

Assist in preparing and leveling sites for various construction activities such as roadworks, land grading, and soil compaction. Ensure proper slope, elevation, and drainage during grading operations.

Maintenance of Equipment:

Conduct daily pre-operation checks on the grader to ensure it is in good working condition. Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., checking fluid levels, greasing the equipment) and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of other workers on the site. Operate the grader in compliance with all local regulations, construction standards, and safety procedures.

Collaboration and Communication:

Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, and other operators to ensure smooth operation of grading tasks. Communicate effectively with site engineers to clarify work plans and specifications.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain records of work completed, including time logs, equipment inspections, and any incidents. Report progress and any challenges or issues encountered on the job site.
Skills and Qualifications:

Experience

: At least 2-3 years of experience operating graders or similar heavy machinery in construction or roadwork projects.

Certification

: Valid operator's license for operating graders or other heavy machinery (if required).

Knowledge

: Knowledge of construction methods, grading techniques, and the operation of heavy equipment.

Physical Fitness

: Must be in good physical condition to perform the tasks required, including climbing in and out of equipment.

Attention to Detail

: Ability to ensure the accuracy and quality of the work being done, including following project specifications.

Safety Awareness

: Understanding of safety practices related to the operation of heavy equipment.

Language

: Fluency in English .

Work Schedule

: Ability to work long hours, including weekends, depending on project deadlines.

: Willingness to work at construction sites across various locations in the UAE.
