Job Title

: Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher

Job Summary

: The Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher is responsible for delivering age-appropriate instruction to students in a positive and supportive classroom environment. The teacher will foster a love of learning, develop foundational academic skills, and support the personal growth of each student.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction

: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in subjects including reading, writing. Implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet the varied learning needs of all students. Use educational tools and resources effectively to enhance student learning and engagement. Monitor and assess student progress through formal and informal assessments.

Classroom Management

: Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment. Foster good behavior, respect, and cooperation among students. Implement classroom rules and procedures consistently and fairly. Handle conflicts or disruptions calmly and professionally.

Student Support

: Recognize individual learning needs and offer additional support where necessary. Encourage social and emotional development through guided activities. Create an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported. Work closely with parents to keep them informed of their child's progress, concerns, and achievements.

Collaboration and Professional Development

: Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to align on teaching goals and school-wide initiatives. Continuously evaluate and adjust teaching methods based on student needs, feedback, and educational best practices.

Record Keeping

: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on student performance, attendance, and behavior. Prepare and submit progress reports, grades, and other necessary documentation as required by the school administration.

Required Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field. Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching practices for young learners. Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Passion for teaching and working with young children.

Preferred Qualifications

:

Experience teaching in an elementary school setting. Familiarity with diverse learning needs and inclusive teaching strategies. Knowledge of educational technology and tools for classroom management.
