The Role: As the Manager Operations, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our courier operations. Your responsibilities may span across different functions within the country, including managing a 24/7 hub. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team to ensure all activities are aligned with company goals, regulatory standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Oversee daily operations to ensure all processes and procedures are executed promptly and consistently.
Manage the full logistics cycle, including CLH connectivity and a strong understanding of SGHA processes for booking, retrieval, and handling of courier, freight, and dangerous goods (DG).
Handle vendor relationships and negotiations to ensure cost-effective and reliable services.
Act as the primary liaison with local authorities, including customs, police, and airport authorities, to facilitate smooth operations and ensure compliance.
Oversee shuttle and truck logistics as well as security sealing processes to maintain the integrity of shipments.
Manage a 24/7 hub operation, which requires flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
What you bring: Experience:
A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar operational leadership role within the logistics, courier, or transportation industry.
Extensive experience managing a large-scale hub or warehouse environment.
Demonstrated experience in vendor management, people management, and team scheduling.
Previous experience dealing with local authorities and a strong understanding of customs procedures.
Required skills:
A comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
Knowledge of local customs regulations and airport logistics is highly desirable.
