Job Summary: A General Practitioner (GP) Dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive services. The dentist will perform routine check-ups, restorative procedures, and minor surgical treatments while ensuring patient comfort and maintaining high clinical standards. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Duties:

• Perform dental examinations, diagnose oral conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Conduct routine dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
• Provide preventive care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
• Perform minor oral surgeries (e.g., tooth extractions, biopsies).
• Administer local anesthesia and sedation (if certified).
• Diagnose and treat periodontal (gum) disease.
• Take and interpret dental X-rays.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and health & safety regulations.
• Stay updated with advancements in dentistry through continuing education.
• Work collaboratively with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff.
• Manage patient referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards set by dental regulatory bodies.

• Education: Degree in Dentistry (DDS, DMD, or equivalent) from an accredited dental school.
• Licensing: Valid state dental license and malpractice insurance.
• Certifications: CPR/BLS certification; additional certifications (e.g., Invisalign, sedation dentistry) are a plus.
• Experience: Prior clinical experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered.

• Proficiency in dental software and digital dentistry tools.
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
