Overview:
G42 Corporate is looking for a seasoned and steadfast Governance Specialist to support the Enterprise Risk Function with the management of the Risk and Governance.

The opportunity
As a Governance Specialist you will provide governance and business support to the enterprise risk function across corporate and group companies. You will support in maintaining the reporting of risk registers, risk meetings, management reports and other scheduled activities for all entities; and ensuring organizational policies are up to date and workplace practices are in alignment with the risk and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities:
  • Maintaining the risk framework, policy documents, risk templates and delegations frameworks for all entities; and
  • Ensuring organizational policies are up to date and workplace practices are in alignment with the enterprise risk frameworks
  • Supports the administration of the enterprise risk framework for all entities to ensure reporting schedule is adhered to.
  • Supports the management of Corporate Policy Framework for all entities including procedures for new or amended policies (with regular reviews and ensuring any changes are promptly incorporated into the relevant policies on the intranet) and coordination of the approval of group wide policies which apply to the entities.
  • Provide regular reports to enterprise risk function director and risk committee on governance, risk and compliance issues as they arise
  • Co-manage the efficient and effective operation of the risk committee function by acting as a secretary i.e. scheduling, records management, minutes, follow-up on action items and timely submission of reports and agenda items. Act as a delegate for the governance when required.
  • Preparation of KPI and KRI dashboards by collecting metrics, data and reports from cross functional business units
  • Critically review committee meeting papers, reports, registers and minutes and liaise with the business to review content to ensure quality of material submitted and follow up where clarity or repositioning is required.
  • Draft committee meeting papers, briefs (including internal/external correspondence) and reports on risk and governance matters in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the regular review of governance processes including analyzing existing processes, recommending and implementing changes, documenting new processes and procedures to support risk, compliance, continuous improvement and innovative best practice in governance.
  • Perform a range of tasks to support the team including but not limited to retaining the currency of committee charters, disclosures and risk registers, maintaining archive governance records, preparation and distribution of committee papers, setting up agendas and organizing committee meetings.
Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have:
  • Master's degree or equivalent in finance or related discipline with minimum 4-6 years of experience
  • Excellent written and speaking skills, English language
  • Ability to create high quality presentations with analysis and
  • Demonstrated experience working in a company secretarial / corporate governance or enterprise risk function / management consulting

Ideally, you'll also need:
  • Knowledge and working experience in field of audit, risk and compliance is preferred.
