About the Role:
We are seeking a diligent and physically fit Goat Farm Helper to join our team. Your primary role will be to assist in the daily care and maintenance of our goat herd and farm facilities. This is a hands-on role that is essential to the health of our animals and the smooth operation of the farm. Ideal candidates are hardworking, have a positive attitude, and are not afraid of manual labor.
Key Responsibilities:

• Animal Care:
• Assist in feeding the goats according to a set schedule and dietary plan.
• Provide clean and fresh water to the animals daily.
• Assist in monitoring the health of the goats, reporting any signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior to the supervisor.
• Help with basic animal handling during health checks, vaccinations, and other procedures.
• Hygiene and Cleaning:
• Clean and disinfect animal pens, sheds, and feeding areas regularly to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
• Remove manure and soiled bedding, and dispose of waste properly.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness in feed storage and preparation areas.
• Milking and Product Handling:
• Assist with the milking process, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
• Help with the handling and basic storage of milk and other farm products.
• General Farm Maintenance:
• Perform general upkeep tasks such as fencing repair, cleaning water troughs, and maintaining farm tools and equipment.
• Assist in loading and unloading feed and supplies.
• Help maintain the overall tidiness and organization of the farm.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• No formal education required; prior experience in a farm or animal care setting is a strong advantage.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in an outdoor environment.
• Basic understanding of, or willingness to learn, animal behavior and handling.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
