As a Global Reliability Manager, you will join our passionate and dedicated team, overseeing and optimizing the reliability of port assets worldwide.

As the Global Reliability Manager for our company, you will be responsible for leading and executing reliability programs, across our global port network. You will apply technical reliability techniques and best practices to ensure that our assets operate at peak performance, minimizing downtime, improving safety, and optimizing maintenance efforts. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendors will be critical to drive continuous improvement in reliability and enhance the overall operational efficiency of our port facilities.

Reliability Strategy Development:

Develop and implement a comprehensive global reliability strategy, tailored to the port industry using relevant ISO cross industry standards available.

Utilize reliability engineering methods, principles, data analysis, and historical performance data to identify reliability improvement opportunities and prioritize initiatives.

Technical Reliability Techniques:

Apply reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies to optimize maintenance tasks and intervals, ensuring maximum uptime and asset longevity.

Utilize Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) techniques to proactively identify potential failure modes and develop mitigation plans for critical assets.

Reliability Strategy Development:

Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance:

Implement advanced condition monitoring techniques, such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis, to detect early signs of equipment degradation and prevent unplanned downtime.

Leverage predictive maintenance technologies, including IoT sensors and machine learning algorithms, to anticipate equipment failures and optimize maintenance schedules.

Structural Integrity Management:

Establish and maintain a comprehensive structural integrity management program, ensuring the safety and reliability of port steel infrastructure, buildings, and other civil works.

Conduct periodic structural inspections, assess condition assessments, and develop repair and maintenance plans based on engineering standards and regulatory requirements.

Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement:

Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to identify underlying causes of equipment failures, structural deficiencies, or incidents, and develop preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by driving reliability-related initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and sharing best practices across the organization.

Vendor Management: Collaborate with equipment vendors and suppliers to ensure reliability requirements are effectively communicated and met during procurement, installation, and commissioning of assets. Evaluate vendor reliability data and performance to inform decision-making and strengthen partnerships with reliable suppliers.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure all reliability-related activities adhere to relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Prepare comprehensive reliability reports, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and improvement opportunities for senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

10 years of experience in a reliability management role, ideally within the port or maritime industry.

Reliability and / or asset management certifications ideally.

Proficiency in technical reliability techniques, such as RCM, FMEA, vibration analysis, thermography, and predictive maintenance technologies.

Strong understanding of structural integrity management principles and engineering standards for port infrastructure and buildings.

Experience leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across multiple locations.
