Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated NDT Project Manager to oversee and coordinate in-field all NDT service projects around the world. As NDT Global Inspection Services Manager, you will be responsible for overall management, planning, execution, and completion of projects carried out by the Field Service department.

Salary 200,000 to 220,000 UK Pound Sterling and initial temporary accommodation (up to 3 weeks), Return flight (1 per year), Relocation flight ticket, Permit expenses (visa and work permit) covered, Worldwide Healthcare Coverage.

Our client operates globally, from Brazil to Taiwan. They offer conventional, advanced and bespoke (including robotized) NDT solutions (equipment and services) to those customers. Currently, their focus is on expansion of their nuclear services business in the Middle East Region. However, their aim is to increase worldwide market share in the aerospace and medical sectors.

The ideal candidate should have excellent project management skills, technical expertise and experience of NDT applications, and a strong ability to lead and communicate effectively.

This role has the potential to progress to a Director level position in this rapidly expanding company.

Responsibilities

Project Planning: Develop comprehensive NDT project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and budget. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to define project requirements and identify resource needs.

Project Execution: Coordinate and manage all aspects of NDT field service projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budget. Allocate resources and equipment, monitor progress and address any issues or challenges that arise. Leads the preparation of NDT test reports and studies, maintenance of NDT instructions and procedures, maintenance of NDT equipment and development of NDT testing techniques.

Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to field service team including project managers, technicians and support staff involved in the various projects at different locations. Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams. Effectively communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders in a timely and professional manner. Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise. Responsible for maintaining good business relations with business partners.

Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations. Implement appropriate quality control measures and conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve any quality issues.

Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively monitor and manage potential risks throughout the project lifecycle. Implement corrective actions as necessary to minimize project delays or budget overruns.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, reports, change orders, and other relevant records. Generate regular project status reports and present updates to management and stakeholders as required.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the field service department. Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to optimize project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Degree in engineering. A combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered. NDT UT/ET/VT certification - Proven experience as a project manager for in-field services. - Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and meet project deadlines. - Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating cross-functional teams. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors. - General knowledge of NDT inspection equipment and NDT inspection methods/techniques. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address project-related issues in a timely and effective manner. - Knowledge of relevant NDT industry standards, regulations, and best practices. - Proficiency in project management software and tools. - Willingness to travel to project sites and work in various field environments as needed.
