Job Reference No: 3366Job Purpose1. To execute and support various functions of Global Logistics department.2. To Support or lead the SCM team of all LE factories for improvements in process and material delivery.3. To maintain legal compliance with local waste and relevant environmental regulations as set by the Authorities, and to monitor and record associated data and to ensure the safe storage and disposal of all waste generated on the Lucy Dubai site.Job Dimensions:Number of Staff Supervised: 1Key AccountabilitiesGlobal Logistics role
  • Group S&OP - Furnishing Group S&OP incorporating capacity of each factory, lead-time of each product and understanding constraints and resolve them. Measured by timely release of MPS to factories
  • Global shipping project- Review and ensure minimum shipping prices for all transport mode and at the same time incorporating most effective shipping methods. Measured by cost reductions%, service levels, KPIs
  • LE Supply Chain improvements: Work on a site which has SCM issues like material availability, stock accuracy issues, higher inventory issue, reducing lead-time of customers. Reduce lead-time of products to customers Measured on Requirements Specific
  • Process standardization - Standardize the business process in the areas of supply chain function across all Lucy Sites. Measured by LIMS documents
  • Group Inventory report - Analyzing and monitoring Lucy Electric Group Inventory as well as inventory for individual sites and preparing monthly Inventory report for group finance. Measured by Monthly Reports
  • Lead-time - Work a mechanism to update lead-time of each product for each company. Develop a model to define lead-time of each product built in all companies. Real time update on lead-time to help sales to define a date on which a product can be delivered to customer at a central level. Measured by Timely Reports
  • Budget & MTP file update for factories including Made in and Part numbers & co-ordination with all LE factories. To prepare and release budget files as per schedule
  • Global KPIs- Review SCM KPIs such as stock accuracy, stock turns, material availability, customer OTDF, supplier OTIF on monthly basis. Measured by KPIs
  • Customs and HS codes - Study all customs requirement of each LE company. Finalize standard HS codes for all sites after reviewing the customs requirement of all sites. Work with each site for a common HS code implementation across LE. Measured by Requirements Specific
  • Projects \xe2\x80\x93 Aim is to carry out various projects for continuous improvements in the area of SCM. Measured by Requirements Specific
Global SCM Support/ Lead \xe2\x80\x93 LE sites
  • MRP Analysis \xe2\x80\x93 Setting of MRP parameters, safety stock as per business needs. Measured by Accurate MRP output
  • PO management as per MRP demands as well as manage exception requirements (e.g., fabrication planning). Measured by Timely PO placement, KPI
  • Supplier relationship Management. Measured by Supplier Performance measurement
  • Improvement in Supplier Delivery (On Time delivery In Full). expediting of shortage material to ensure 100% material availability. Measured by OTIF report
  • Technical training and develop SCM team for every Buyers role.
  • Motivate staff in achieving standards of excellence. Measured by Team development
  • Conduct regular LE sites supply chain risk assessment to identify and resolve issues and bottlenecks. Measured by Process Efficiency
  • Plan and set up VMI with key suppliers and review periodically the VMI status. Measured by Annual VMI report and vendor Audit
Waste Management Role
  • Maintain Waste Management records and KPI\xe2\x80\x99s - KPIs/ Audit
  • Ensure high standards of Housekeeping and Safety in the waste yards - Audit
  • Ensure compliance with relevant waste regulations and guidelines as set by regional bodies - Audit
  • Publish statistics and progress reports monthly and as requested - KPIs
  • Maintain Waste records, licenses and permits ensuring they are in place and up to date - KPIs/ Audit
  • Manage Site Operators and Collectors while onsite - KPIs
  • Ensure safe working practices comply with legislation - Audit
  • Maintain records of inspections - KPIs
  • Keep up to date with relevant local legislation and best practice - KPIs
  • Manage and organize the safe disposal and storage of hazardous substances - KPIs/ Audit
  • Support internal & external audits associated with Waste Management - Audit
  • Apply for Laboratory Analysis Reports for the disposal of hazardous waste - KPIs
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external Third Parties for waste disposal and collections - Mutual understanding and maintain good relations
  • Ensure only approved and authorized Third Party waste collectors are used - Audit
  • Periodic auditing of the Third-Party waste collectors and their facilities, including calibration checks of weigh bridges - KPIs
  • Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being implemented - Audit
  • Provide waste management data to internal Departments as requested - KPIs
Job ContextThe position is responsible to:
  • Global Logistic:
o LE S&OP of all siteso LE logistics routes rates & service levelso LE Inventory reporting.o Budget & MTP
  • Global SCM lead:
o Process development for Optimized and resilient supply Chain.o D365 planning process setup and improvements.o Supplier OTIF improvements, VMI setup & Audit.o Team training (Technical and Behavior) of any role within SCM to achieve excellence.o Visit LE sites & vendor sites based on requirements.
  • Waste Management:
o Wasteyard Managemento General Waste Disposalo Recycling Waste Disposal: Cardboard, Plastic, Wood & Polystyreneo Steel, Metal Scrap Disposalo Electronic Waste Disposal (IT)o Trade Wastewater Disposalo Hazardous Waste DisposalQualifications Experience and SkillsA graduation degree in engineering with minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Supply chain management in a manufacturing environment, Waste Management, Environmental qualification or working towards one.Minimum Experience: 5 years in Supply Chain ManagementJob-Specific Skills:
  • Technical Expertise in SCM area, Strategic Thinking, Fostering Innovation, Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP, D365 system and its associate modules.
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
  • Have a good understanding of local Waste management legislation and practices.
  • Control of Chemicals and COSHH awareness
