Newcom, a renowned IT distribution firm, seeks a fast-paced, organized, multitasking applicant for the marketing intern position needed for the GITEX Exhibition from October 16th to October 20th, 2023. The marketing intern will be responsible for assisting the marketing team with coordination and organization tasks. Interns will have exclusive access to a behind-the-scenes view of orchestrating global-scale tradeshow planning and participation, as well as unique networking opportunities with some of the biggest names in the IT hardware and distribution industry. Duties include: 1. Assist in the preparation of presentations and other marketing material for the event 2. Act as a liaison between booth visitors and technical ambassadors during the event by greeting visitors and redirecting them to the right individuals 3. Arranging and keeping updated the schedules of various company representatives at the event, including the marketing head and marketing manager 4. Update the GITEX calendar as necessary and assist in carrying out any tasks required to meet relevant deadlines prior to the event 5. Assist in the coordination and execution of any tasks during the event 6. Attend product and skill-based trainings prior to the event to prepare adequately 7. Shadow during networking and client meetings to learn more about the industry 8. Submit a post-event report to the internship supervisor outlining the experience gained 9. Perform any other tasks as assigned Key Requirements: 1. Pursuing a degree in marketing or business administration 2. Basic computer skills - to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint - are required 3. Fluent English speaker 4. Well-organized with an eye and attention to detail 5.
