General Description of Role and Responsibilities: Create maps and graphs, using GIS software and data collection equipment. Collaborate with the design team and other departments to identify goals and communicate procedural changes. Perform research to obtain and expand existing datasets. Gather and report on GIS data and determine how data sets are best utilized through GIS. Compile geographic and demographic data from many sources. Consult with external stakeholders to access censuses, fieldwork, satellite and aerial imagery, and maps. Compile data for statistics to incorporate into documents and reports. Build, manipulate, and update databases. Enter new map data using cartographic principles. Analyze and model relationships between geographic data sets. Operate and maintain GIS system hardware, software, and peripherals. Present information to clients and stakeholders in verbal or written format. Oversee data flow, management and distribution activities to support GIS. Perform data capture and analysis for GIS products. Support in designing and creating a geospatial database. Provide technical guidance to GIS users when needed. Work collaboratively with various members. Provides task management or project management support on GIS-related projects. Provide support in configuring applications using Esris ArcGIS Online (Collector, Survey123, Operations Dashboard, Web Maps and Web Applications), to support project work. Departmental management skills, dealing with Project Managers and Construction Managers. Supervising a team of drafters for optimum productivity and efficiency and mentoring junior staff when required. Interpret, analyze and follow standards required by the project Maintain drawings to the relevant standards Work towards deadlines set by the Project Manager/ Supervisor. Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill. Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Bachelors degree in an Architecture or Engineering related discipline. A minimum of 10+ years of experience working on large-scale green field infrastructure development projects. Specialist knowledge of building information modeling, AutoCAD and integrated Project Delivery. Working knowledge of IT and network infrastructure principles. Extensive understanding of Design delegation and review of Design delegation and carrying designs from concepts to completion. Proficient in the Esri Software Suite (Desktop platforms, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise). Proactively provide ideas and solutions to solve project-related problems.
