Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled

Emirati GIS Administrator / GIS Specialist

to provide comprehensive on-site technical support for GIS platforms and services. The role involves maintaining and enhancing enterprise GIS infrastructure, managing data systems, and supporting GIS users and applications to ensure the continuity and improvement of GIS-based services.

Key Responsibilities

Provide on-location GIS technical consulting and administrative support, including: ArcGIS Desktop and Server software support. GIS Database administration and data management. GIS Portal configuration, administration, and user management. GIS application development and configuration. Management of ArcGIS software licenses, configurations, and updates. Support and configure Web GIS Services, Web Maps, and Web Applications. Create dashboards, Story Maps, and GIS user experiences for enhanced functionality. Conduct GIS and CAD digital data translation using ArcGIS and FME software. Maintain GIS documentation including workflows, system architecture, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals. Collaborate with ICT and Information Security teams to ensure system compliance and data integrity. Manage GIS data backup, versioning, and maintenance processes. Support user training and feedback collection to improve GIS services. Provide monthly reporting on risks, opportunities, and performance metrics.

Required Competencies & Experience

Proven experience in providing

technical GIS support

for

ESRI software

in large-scale or governmental environments. Strong background in:

MS SQL Server

administration for GIS databases.

Web GIS portal

development and maintenance.

Custom GIS applications

configuration and deployment.

System architecture

design and optimization for GIS platforms.

FME software

workflows for CAD-to-GIS data translation. Experience managing large user groups with varied GIS needs. Strong coordination skills with ICT and information security departments. Ability to produce technical documentation and maintain process clarity. Familiarity with working under strict security and safety protocols.

On-site at a secure operational facility (Abu Dhabi region).
