Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Generator Servicing Technician

with a minimum of

7 years of hands-on experience

in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generator systems. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of

major generator brands

such as

Perkins, Cummins, FG Wilson, Caterpillar, Volvo, MTU, and Kohler

, and will be capable of performing both

major and minor servicing

, as well as diagnosing and rectifying complex faults efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform

routine preventive maintenance

(minor and major services) on diesel generators. Diagnose and

troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults

, including alternator, AVR, control panel, and fuel system issues. Carry out

overhauling of engines

, fuel pumps, and injectors when required. Ensure all servicing and repair works are completed as per manufacturer recommendations and safety standards. Maintain accurate

service reports, inspection checklists, and maintenance logs

. Conduct

load testing and synchronization checks

when necessary. Assist in installation, commissioning, and performance testing of generators. Identify worn or defective parts and recommend replacements. Provide technical feedback to supervisors regarding recurring or critical faults. Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and environmental standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum

7 years of relevant experience

in generator servicing and maintenance. In-depth knowledge of

diesel generator systems

, electrical controls, and engine mechanics. Experience with

Perkins, Cummins, FG Wilson, Caterpillar, Volvo, MTU, and Kohler

generators. Ability to interpret

wiring diagrams and service manuals

. Skilled in using

diagnostic tools and testing equipment

. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Valid UAE driving license (preferred). Diploma or ITI certification in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Preferred Attributes:

Team player with strong communication and customer-handling skills. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision. Willingness to travel to client sites for on-site servicing or emergency calls.
