Job Description

Core responsibilities

Patient diagnosis and treatment

: Conduct physical exams, assess symptoms, and diagnose a variety of illnesses, from common ailments to chronic diseases.
Additional duties

Counseling and education

: Educate patients on their health concerns and provide counseling on preventative measures.

Continuing education

: Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date on medical knowledge, technology, and best practices.

Quality improvement

: Engage in initiatives to improve the quality of patient care and contribute to practice standards.

Documentation

: Provide certificates and other necessary medical documentation.

Cultural competency

: Demonstrate the ability to provide culturally safe care that meets the patient's needs.

Medication management

: Prescribe medications to treat illnesses and manage chronic conditions.

Preventive care

: Provide health screenings, routine check-ups, and vaccinations to promote wellness and prevent disease.

Patient history and records

: Collect and maintain detailed patient medical histories and test results, often in electronic medical records.

Referrals to specialists

: Refer patients to other healthcare professionals and specialists when their needs exceed the GP's scope of practice.

Collaboration and coordination

: Work with nurses, pharmacists, specialists, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
