Provide direct care to newborns in the NICU, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Monitor and manage newborns' health conditions, including premature babies, low birth weight infants, and babies with congenital conditions.
Administer medication and treatments as necessary, ensuring the best possible outcome for each infant.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
Work closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other medical professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for infants.
Participate in daily rounds and discuss cases with the healthcare team to ensure the most appropriate care and interventions.
Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure proper care protocols are followed and that infants are closely monitored.
Family Support & Education:
Provide emotional support and guidance to families of NICU patients, explaining treatment plans and progress.
Educate parents on the care needs of their newborns and provide guidance on post-discharge care.
Monitoring & Reporting:
Regularly assess the condition of each newborn and provide updates to parents and medical teams.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of each patient's progress, treatments, and any changes in condition.
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and relevant healthcare regulations.
Emergency Care:
Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, particularly in the NICU setting.
Provide life-saving interventions as needed, including resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer to higher levels of care if required.
Qualifications & Skills:
MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in neonatal care or working in a NICU setting.
DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license or eligibility to obtain one.
Strong knowledge of neonatal care, including respiratory support, intravenous nutrition, and monitoring equipment.
Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, especially when dealing with critically ill newborns and their families.
Good communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
