Overview:

Bella Roma Specialty Hospital, a premier institution specializing in cosmetic and plastic surgeries, is seeking a General Practitioner with extensive experience in general surgery. The candidate will play a crucial role in providing expert pre- and post-operative care to surgical inpatients, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal recovery. This role requires a deep understanding of diverse surgical specialties and patient management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Operative Care:

Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including detailed patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations. Assess and mitigate potential surgical risks in collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists. Educate patients on surgical procedures, potential risks, outcomes, and detailed recovery plans. Ensure patients are well-prepared for surgery, addressing all queries and concerns.

Post-Operative Care:

Oversee immediate and long-term post-operative recovery, addressing complications swiftly. Perform minor procedures, including suturing, wound care, and the removal of surgical drains or minor lesions. Provide pain management strategies and follow-up care to enhance recovery. Guide patients and families through recovery protocols, including medication instructions and lifestyle adjustments.

Surgical and General Practice Expertise:

Leverage experience in various surgical subspecialties, including trauma surgery, oncologic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and gastrointestinal surgery. Apply proficiency in diverse surgical techniques and patient management strategies in collaboration with the surgical team. Spearhead trauma resuscitation efforts, optimizing team coordination and patient outcomes. Manage urgent medical concerns, including acute illnesses, trauma, and minor injuries. Perform minor surgical interventions such as suturing, excision of lumps (e.g., lipomas), and wound care.

General Patient Care:

Provide primary healthcare services, including diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.

Qualifications:

Education:

MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with significant exposure to general surgery. Proven experience in trauma surgery, oncologic surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, and minimally invasive techniques. Hands-on experience in cosmetic and post-operative care is an asset.

Skills:

Proficiency in performing minor surgical procedures. Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: Up to AED90,000.00 per month
