The company has existed for almost 50 years. About the role: As a General Manager/Commercial Manager, you will be leading the day-to-day operations at the office. As the company is family owned it\'s crucial you understand the way a family business runs. Your main responsibilities will be as a commercial manager but you will also be part of the logistics, business development, contracts, finance, and operations. Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage the day-to-day operations at the office \xe2\x80\xa2 Taking a lead role in solving commercial issues that may arise \xe2\x80\xa2 "DO IT ALL" kind of person and be a part of contracts, finance, and operations as well \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct morning meetings with the team to make sure everyone is aligned \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify and develop better business opportunities for growth \xe2\x80\xa2 Build and maintain relationships with the current and prospective clients \xe2\x80\xa2 Negotiate new projects and contract terms with new clients \xe2\x80\xa2 Attend networking events and build industry connections \xe2\x80\xa2 Interact and cooperate with all members of the organization, its suppliers, and customers \xe2\x80\xa2 Stay updated with the industry trends

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications: professional training \xe2\x80\xa2 5+ years prior experience in business development or marketing fields \xe2\x80\xa2 Background in the offshore/marine industry \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong communication and negotiations skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Good background in BIMCO contracts \xe2\x80\xa2 Good knowledge of vessels and vessel chartering \xe2\x80\xa2 Business Development skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess a collaborative mindset and work well as part of a team \xe2\x80\xa2 Driven and motivated \xe2\x80\xa2 Basic accounting skills and costing abilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Good knowledge of project management \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
