The Position Roche Diagnostics in Saudi Arabia (RD KSA) is a fast developing organization within the Roche group. With almost 200 dedicated employees and an annual turnover of over 150 Mio CHF, RD KSA is the largest affiliate organization within Roche Diagnostics Middle East (RD ME), a diverse and innovative subregion with 16 country organizations and about 500 employees, who are passionate about leading the transformation of Diagnostics in the Middle East. The subregion ME is part of the larger Roche Diagnostics EMEA/LATAM region.

As the General Manager (GM) for Roche Diagnostics Saudi Arabia, you will be part of the Middle East Leadership Team (MELT) and will report to the Head of the Subregion Middle East.

You will act as an agile leader (Visionary, Architect, Coach and Catalyst) and fully live our leadership commitments and operating principles. Your engaging leadership will guide the organization to continued success by enabling people to execute on our divisional mission and strategy.
You have the full accountability for the financial short-, mid- and long term performance of Saudi Arabia, along with sustainable business planning. You establish appropriate budgets, key initiatives and guide your teams and peers with transparent communication. You are accountable for the integration and alignment of cross-functional strategies and plans into a cohesive, actionable and elevating affiliate vision and direction.

Demonstrating your dedication to healthcare and improved patient outcomes, you will drive measurable progress in line with the EMEA-LATAM (E/L) Region’s vision. You will endorse a personal responsibility to drive impact beyond the affiliate, contributing to the E/L community and overall Region success.
You will represent Roche in external forums and build trustful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including customers, governments and industry associations, to shape the local healthcare environment.
You are a driver of our cross-divisional collaboration (OneRoche) between the different divisions Pharma, Diabetes Care and Diagnostics. You will ensure all statutory regulations and Roche corporate standards are met. To be successful in this role, you ideally bring the following background and experiences:
  • Experience working in an international, multi-cultural and matrix environment
  • Previous experience in managing a P&L and/or large organization is preferable
  • Strong business acumen and good knowledge of the Healthcare market
  • Strategic thinking skills and proven track record of developing and delivering business strategies
  • Solid experience of leading change, negotiating and managing conflict. Demonstrated ability to confidently lead internally and externally in crises
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in building, leading and coaching teams, and an ability to communicate complex topics simply and articulately to various audiences
  • Reputation of building the right organisational capability combined with exceptional leadership
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic; additional languages are preferred
  • Saudi nationality is strongly preferred
  • Higher education degree (MA, MS, MD, MBA, PhD) preferred
