Our company Commercial Insurance Brokerage Services is looking to hire a General Underwriter to join our technical team in Dubai. Reporting to the General Manager the incumbent will be responsible for the entire general insurance underwriting process through a variety of technical tasks. Responsibilities Deliver against underwriting and financial measures. Underwrite risks and handle technical referrals. Responsible for underwriting both new business and renewals. Accurately select, assess, and price risk in line with underwriting guidance. Ensure standards are met and the governance framework adhered to. Develop key internal stakeholder relationships. Skills Required Proficient Excel skills Analytical mind Result oriented Good written and verbal communication skills Good Presentation Skills. Education, Experience and Formal/Professional Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Minimum 5 years of experience in General Insurance. Previous insurance experience is a must. Coding knowledge is preferred. Knowledge of different network tariffs. Experience in dealing with insurers. The ability to manage clients, distribution teams, and insurers.
