Job Title: General Helper - Construction & Civil Works

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and physically capable

General Helper

to support day-to-day construction operations on active job sites. This role involves assisting skilled tradesmen, managing materials, maintaining site cleanliness, and performing a variety of manual labor tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in outdoor and physically demanding environments. Prior experience in construction is an advantage, but a willingness to learn and contribute is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Assistance with Skilled Trades

Support carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other tradesmen with tools, equipment, and materials Assist in mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete, plaster, mortar, or asphalt Hold, align, and secure materials during installation and construction activities Help with minor repairs, adjustments, and basic groundwork like excavation, trenching, and backfilling
Material Handling

Load, unload, and transport construction materials, supplies, and equipment across the site Handle deliveries and manage basic inventory of construction materials Distribute materials to designated areas to support project activities
Site Preparation & Maintenance

Prepare work areas by cleaning, leveling, and organizing construction sites Remove debris, hazardous materials, and waste to maintain a safe and efficient environment Assist with setting up scaffolding, barricades, or other temporary structures Ensure tools and equipment are properly cleaned, maintained, and stored
Installation & Support Tasks

Assist in installation of floor and wall coverings, partitions, fixtures, and other basic components Operate basic hand and power tools safely under supervision Provide support during setup and teardown of construction equipment
Safety & Compliance

Follow all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times Report any safety hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately Adhere to company policies, site protocols, and supervisor instructions
General Labor Duties

Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) Assist with excavation, trenching, and other groundwork as instructed Complete any additional duties assigned by the site supervisor or foreman

Qualifications & Skills

Previous construction/site experience preferred but not mandatory Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous labor tasks Basic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow instructions Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions Team player with good communication and coordination skills Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn Available in UAE and ready to join immediately (preferred)

Working Conditions

Work primarily outdoors on active construction sites May involve working in confined spaces, at heights, or in harsh weather conditions Requires physical stamina and adherence to strict safety standards

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED1,500.00 per month
