Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable
Helper
to support skilled tradespeople on various construction and renovation projects. This dual-role position involves assisting carpenters and painters by preparing job sites, handling materials, performing basic tasks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, follows instructions well, and is capable of performing physical labor in a fast-paced setting.Key Responsibilities:Carpentry Assistance:
Carry and organize materials, tools, and supplies for carpenters. Assist with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood or other materials. Hold materials in place for fastening or cutting. Help build and install walls, frames, partitions, stairs, and other structures. Clean and maintain carpentry tools and work areas.
Painting Assistance:
Prepare surfaces for painting (e.g., sanding, scraping, cleaning). Tape, mask, and cover surrounding areas to protect surfaces. Mix paints and help with paint application using brushes, rollers, or sprayers. Clean brushes, rollers, and painting tools after use. Set up and move ladders, drop cloths, and scaffolding.
General Duties:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites. Follow all health and safety guidelines and use PPE as required. Assist with loading and unloading materials. Perform other general labor tasks as assigned by supervisors.
