Job Description
As a General Fitter, you play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and systems within the property. Your responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and collaborating with other maintenance professionals to ensure the smooth operation of machinery.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment and systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues in a timely manner. Use various tools and equipment to install, dismantle, and assemble mechanical components. Interpret technical drawings and specifications for accurate assembly and repairs. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and ensure equipment functionality. Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components to maintain optimal performance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections and repairs. Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule tasks efficiently. Provide support during equipment installations and modifications. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical systems and technology. Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of spare parts and equipment. Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
