The Lead Dentist will oversee dental operations, provide high-quality dental care, and mentor a team of dental professionals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in general dentistry, oral surgery, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the dental team, ensuring high standards of patient care.
Perform routine dental procedures, including cleaning, polishing, fillings, and extractions (including wisdom teeth).
Diagnose and treat dental infections, gum diseases, and other oral health conditions.
Perform endodontic treatments (root canal therapy) as required.
Develop and implement oral health programs and preventive care initiatives.
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and dental regulations.
Provide mentorship and training to junior dentists, dental assistants, and hygienists.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent; Master's degree or specialization preferred.
Valid dental license in your country of practice; eligibility to practice in Nauru.
Minimum 5-7 years of clinical experience, including experience in complex procedures like wisdom tooth extraction and root canal treatment.
Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a dental team.
Strong diagnostic, treatment planning, and patient management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
