Job Description

We are a leading Pharmaceutical Trading Company in the UAE, looking to hire a qualified and experienced General Chartered Accountant to oversee our financial operations.

The ideal candidate will be capable of managing end-to-end accounting functions independently, with a strong background in trading and a deep understanding of financial practices specific to the pharmaceutical sector.

This role demands high levels of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism, with a proactive approach to financial management and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

-Independently manage and finalize full sets of accounts in line with company policies and UAE accounting standards.

-Maintain and oversee all financial records, ensuring transparency and accuracy.

-Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports tailored to the pharmaceutical trading business.

-Manage payables and receivables with a focus on supplier terms, inventory costing, and client credit control.

-Reconcile bank and intercompany accounts regularly.

-Ensure full compliance and timely submission of VAT filings and tax documentation.

-Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for trading operations.

-Monitor and improve internal controls, cash flow, and risk management.

-Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.

-Liaise with procurement, sales, and inventory departments to streamline financial workflows across trading activities.

Candidate Requirements

-Age: 25 to 33 years

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE

Minimum 3 years working within a Trading Company, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry

Education:

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or an MBA in Finance (mandatory)

Skills:

-Strong command of accounting software (ERP systems SAP preferred)

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across departments

-Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations, import/export documentation, and pharma cost structures

-Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills

License:

-Must hold a valid UAE Driving License
