Job Summary:
The General Cashier is responsible for managing and overseeing all cash transactions within the organization. This includes handling cash receipts, disbursements, bank deposits, petty cash, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role ensures compliance with company policies and accounting standards while providing support to the finance team.
Key Responsibilities: * Cash Handling & Management:

• Receive, verify, and record all cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Prepare daily cash deposits and reconcile cash drawers.
• Manage petty cash funds and ensure proper documentation for disbursements.
• Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies to management.
• Banking & Reconciliation:

• Prepare and submit bank deposits in a timely manner.
• Reconcile daily cash transactions with accounting records.
• Assist in bank reconciliation processes.
• Record Keeping & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date cash logs and financial records.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports for management.
• Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and audit requirements.
• Compliance & Security:

• Follow internal controls to prevent fraud and mismanagement of funds.
• Ensure safekeeping of cash and financial documents.
• Assist in internal and external audits as needed.
• Coordination & Support:

• Work closely with accounting and other departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with other finance-related tasks as assigned.
