Duties include to support in overall accounting function such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, book-keeping and other department function.

Position reports to: Senior Finance Manager

1.

Daily Accounting Operations:

a. Assist in recording daily financial transactions (receipts, payments, invoices, etc.)

b. Maintain and update general ledger entries

2.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

a. Process supplier invoices and employee reimbursements

b. Assist in tracking customer payments and outstanding balances

c. Follow up on pending invoices and reconcile vendor statements

3.

Bank Reconciliation:

a. Assist in preparing monthly bank reconciliations

b. Ensure all cash and bank transactions are correctly recorded

4.

Financial Reporting:

a. Support the preparation of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually)

b. Assist in compiling financial data for audits and internal reviews

5.

Documentation & Filing:

a. Maintain organized records of financial documents and transactions

b. Ensure accurate and timely filing of VAT returns and other regulatory requirements

6.

Compliance & Internal Controls:

a. Support compliance with UAE financial regulations and internal company policies

b. Flag inconsistencies or irregularities to the Finance Manager

7.

Coordination & Support:

a. Collaborate with other departments for budget tracking and financial queries

b. Assist in special projects as assigned by the Finance or Accounting Manager

8.

Learning & Development:

a. Actively participate in training and mentorship programs under the Emiratization initiative

b. Stay updated with UAE financial regulations and tax laws (e.g., VAT, Corporate Tax)

Knowledge & Skills:

Must be a UAE National (with a valid Family Book)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Good command of English and Arabic

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Detail-oriented and analytical

Strong ethical and professional standards and eager to learn and grow in the accounting/finance field

Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Diploma, or equivalent

Experience (between):

2 - 3 years as Accounts Assistant or Accountant
