General Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a General Accountant for our client, a leading company in Abu Dhabi:
Purpose:
The accountant role is to perform general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, revenues and taxes The Accountant must ensure reporting requirements are met for every closing (monthly, quarterly, annually).
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Document financial transactions by entering accounting information in General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Revenues and Taxes.
• Ensure that all transactions are supported by a clear audit trail.
• Preparation of invoices for recharges to intercompany and third parties.
• Analysis of transactions posted during the period in SAP. - Liaise with customers on AR related matters.
• Support in preparation of periodical direct and indirect tax reports to be submitted to the fiscal authorities.
• Monthly performance of internal controls (SOX controls) and accounts reconciliations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, master\'s degree is a plus.
• 3-5 years of minimum job-related experience.
