: General Accountant
Location: Dubai Internet City, Dubai
Experience: 4-5 Years Minimum
Preferred: Immediately Available Candidates
Salary Range: AED 6,000 - AED 7,000 per month (commensurate with experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company's financial processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization.
Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping & Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify transactions, and manage customer and vendor accounts. Ensure timely collections and payments.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Payroll Processing: Support the payroll process by verifying timesheets, expenses, and other deductions.
• VAT Compliance: Prepare and file accurate VAT returns in compliance with UAE FTA regulations.
• Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• General Ledger Management: Manage the general ledger, perform account analysis, and prepare reconciliation schedules.
• Expense Management: Monitor company expenses and ensure they are recorded correctly.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: A minimum of 4-5 years of proven experience as a General Accountant or in a similar role.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with VAT accounting and filing in the UAE is essential.
