GEAR MECHANIC



Job Title: Transmission Mechanic Location: Dubai, Sharjah Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transmission Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain automatic and manual transmissions for a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality workmanship. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, from routine maintenance to complex overhauls, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and troubleshoot transmission problems using diagnostic equipment and visual inspection. Perform repairs, rebuilds, and replacements of automatic and manual transmissions, including clutches, gear trains, hydraulic pumps, and other components. Conduct comprehensive inspections of transmission systems to identify additional safety or service work required. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as fluid changes and flushes. Utilize technical manuals and schematics to follow proper repair procedures. Communicate with supervisors and service advisors regarding required repairs and work progress. Document all work performed accurately on repair orders. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, and adhere to all safety protocols. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in transmission technology and attend relevant training. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a Transmission Mechanic or a similar role. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Excellent knowledge of mechanical and electronic components of vehicle transmissions. Proficiency in using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Valid driver's license.
