Purpose of Role/Summary:





The GCC Senior Legal Associate is responsible to deliver expert legal counsel, ensure effective management of legal matters and documentation, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to major business initiatives, safeguarding the company's legal interests across all operations.



Main Activities & Responsibilities:






First: Provide legal advice:


1. General review of legal documents with Company's stakeholders and third parties depending on its length, complicity and relevant legal jurisdiction

2. Second or third round of review and negotiation of legal documents with the Company's stakeholders and third parties including meetings (internally and externally) to conclude the legal matter

3. Specific review for a request by any Business Department to an end a clause of any existing legal document (depending on its length, complicity and relevant legal jurisdiction)

4. Review of specific inquiry depending on its length and complicity and relevant legal jurisdiction including legal due diligence into an entity or person and providing advice based on other jurisdictions

5. Reviewing documents, websites, policies, press releases, disclaimers, RFPs and other documents from the legal perspective

6. New enquiries (i.e. no previous experience of similar situation or jurisdiction) that require legal research

Second: Manage legal documents

:
1. Drafting and reviewing letters for existing stakeholders, third parties or clients

2. Drafting and reviewing letters for prospective partnerships, suppliers or clients

3. Keeping and archiving the original documents, letters and signed contracts

4. Manage attestation, translation and any ancillary services related to managing legal documents

Third: Litigation and complaints management:


1. Defending and/or oversee the process of defending the company in any litigation, arbitration, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and/or any settlement bodies or entities (such as AFCA, JSC ... etc.)

Fourth: Support Compliance and awareness of regulators and laws:


1. Providing support in submitting documents and replying to the legal authorities with the required actions and documents in collaboration with Compliance teams

2. Getting any notarized or non-notarized documents from any legal entity

3. Training materials preparation related to legal matters and law of different jurisdictions and giving training as needed

Fifth: Support of new mega projects

(new markets, new entities, holding company, IPO ... etc):
1. Providing support of new company establishments (it might involve proposal review, contract reviewing, offers reviewing, gathering documents, translating documents ... etc.).

2. Support in new vital projects to the company and any related entities.





Required Skills & Experience:






Bachelor's degree in law from accredited university with minimum GPA of 3.0

Master's degree in law is a plus (preferably from USA, UK or Canada) Admitted to Jordanian Bar Association Minimum of 8 years of experience background in financial services is a plus

Arabic and English both Spoken and Wrriten are essential.

Other languages will be considered an advantage High degree of professional ethics and integrity Corporate background Self-motivated and self-driven Outstanding communication skills
