We are seeking a skilled and dependable Garage Foreman to lead and manage daily workshop activities. The successful candidate will oversee the repair and maintenance operations, supervise the technical team, and ensure that all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. A strong focus on teamwork, productivity, and customer satisfaction is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision:
Lead and manage a team of technicians, mechanics, and assistants to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of all tasks.
Task Assignment:
Distribute repair and maintenance jobs according to technicians' abilities and job priorities to optimize productivity.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect completed work to verify quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards and procedures.
Work Coordination:
Collaborate with service advisors, the parts department, and management to maintain efficient workflow and communication across departments.
Technical Guidance:
Offer hands-on support and technical expertise to staff, especially on complex or challenging repair tasks.
Customer Interaction:
Assist in explaining vehicle issues, repair processes, or service recommendations to customers when necessary.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Ensure all workshop personnel adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, well-organized, and hazard-free workspace.
Inventory & Equipment:
Supervise the use and condition of tools, equipment, and materials; report any shortages, damages, or maintenance needs.
Reporting:
Prepare and maintain daily reports on completed work, job progress, delays, and technician performance.
