Summary The Project Sourcing Lead will be responsible to negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies under Grid Automation Business. The Sourcing lead will also responsible from achieving the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. You will have a knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. The Project Sourcing lead reports direct line to the Regional Operations Leader and dotted line to the BL sourcing leader.

Define and improve Sourcing strategies at business or plant level. May also include management of regional & business teams.
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Understand and address market dynamic and trends, and how they impact GE\xe2\x80\x99s customers, suppliers, competitors and the company in terms of price, cash, production costs, global capacity, lead time, internal and supplier capability, barriers to entry and supplier buyer leverage points.
Participate proactively with the tendering team and support the team in winning the tender
Understand sourcing risks, perform risk assessments of supply base and formulates mitigation strategies
Drive sourcing projects from ITO to OTR in collaboration with the respective product line stakeholders
Drive key sourcing and business metrics including cost, cash, supplier quality, BCC and fulfilment OTD metrics in line with operating plan targets.
Optimize cash-out effort and increase suppliers Days To Pay
Implement continuous improvement activities in all areas of responsibility to improve operating performance.
Conduct supplier negotiations to resolve issues and achieve business outcomes in full collaboration with strategic sourcing leaders.
Promote the site in developing new sourcing opportunities in cooperation with the global commodity leaders.
Actively participate in supplier performance reviews.
Extend time to Project Purchase planning, procurement as and when requested by business.
Required Qualifications
Graduate bachelor degree from an engineering or relevant department
Minimum 5 years of working experience in a Sourcing or Key Commodity Buyer role related to Protection & Control, Substation Automation, Monitoring & Diagnostics or Telecommunication business in Grid Automation portfolio.
Excellent negotiation, people management and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in project management and strong coordination skills.
Ability to travel (up to 25%).
