Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced carpenter to join our team for the manufacturing of laboratory furniture for industrial, school, university, hospital, and clinic environments. The ideal candidate will have experience producing high-quality, functional technical furniture that meets safety regulations and industry standards. The individual must have the practical experience and be capable of working across all aspects of the manufacturing process, including pressing, cutting, edge-banding, boring, assembling and quality inspection / upkeep of products. Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure that finished products meet design specifications.
- Design and construct products in a manner that meets industry standards with a smooth and durable finish.
- Utilize hand and power tools as well as complex machines that handle the various aspects of the manufacturing process such as pressing, cutting, edge-banding, and boring.
- Shape and assemble materials to build laboratory furniture, including cabinets, countertops, shelves, and other complex fixtures.
- Install laboratory furniture in designated locations, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
- Efficiently use raw materials whilst keeping waste to a minimum.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including organizing tools and equipment, disposing of waste materials, and following safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in carpentry, with an ideal focus on laboratory furniture manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of woodworking tools and equipment, including hand and power tools.
- Understanding of safety regulations and industry standards for laboratory furniture manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finished products.
- An additional advantage can be experience of technical furniture manufacturing in the marine segment (pleasure and high sea ships / boats).
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Do you have any experience in producing furniture for the marine industry?
- Carpentry (ideally in technical furniture): 5 years (Preferred)
- Malayalam (Required)
- UAE Driving License (Preferred)
