Fitman (Furniture Assembler)

to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Fitman to assemble, install, and fit furniture to our exacting standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that all pieces are accurately constructed, assembled, and fitted in line with the client's specifications. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and a passion for creating top-quality furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and fit furniture components as per company designs and client specifications. Install fitted furniture such as wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, office furniture, and custom-built pieces. Perform quality checks to ensure the final product meets the highest standards of craftsmanship. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions. Collaborate with other team members, including designers and carpenters, to ensure seamless production and installation. Troubleshoot any assembly issues and make adjustments as needed. Safely operate hand and power tools required for furniture assembly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Travel to clients' locations for on-site furniture fitting and installation as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a furniture assembler, fitman, or similar role. Strong understanding of furniture construction techniques and materials. Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude. Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture components. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel for installations.

Desirable:

Previous experience in carpentry or joinery. Knowledge of custom furniture assembly and installation.
