Charterhouse are currently managing a search for a regional investment firm, whom are in the process of looking to hire a Fund Accountant, based out of the Dubai operation.

About the role
This role shall take sole responsibility of managing and overseeing all aspects within the fund accounting scope, whilst undertaking the NAV calculations and reporting, in support of trade processing and settlements. In conjunction, this Fund Accountant will also focus towards reconciliations and valuation checks, along with the calculation of dividends and their disbursement. With a reporting line to the CFO, this role will focus towards the completion of financial statements for client reporting purposes and external audit filing requirements and regulation.

About You
The client will look to recruit a professionally qualified accounting professional whom is able to demonstrate a solid and broad baseline of experience within the fund accounting function. The successful candidate shall be able to present strong technical financial accounting skills, along with an ability to develop reports across Excel, to ensure that all accounting functions are streamlined and harmonised to meet both internal and external deadlines. Applicants shall be well-versed within the compliance aspects of accounting too, with an ability to add any advisory lead within the team, linked to both accountancy and any operations-based processes. Ideally, the client will see the successful placement having between three to five years of overall experience, along with exposure to the UAE and/or GCC markets.
