About us: Coast is a seed + stage company founded in 2018 that aims to be the operating system for the mobile workforce. Coast combines chat with lightweight workflows (scheduling, maintenance, and more) that can be visualized as a list, kanban board, or calendar all built via a no-code platform (think Notion or Airtable). We offer a very easy to use product that enables teams to communicate AND to get work done. Most of our customers use Coast on a personal smartphone and the app makes it easy to maintain boundaries between each person's work and personal life. Our customers depend on Coast each and every day to operate their organizations. Our focus is the mobile first workforce - together they make up more than 80% of the total workforce in the world and power some of the largest industries - manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, retail, logistics, agriculture to name a few. Coast's customer base and ARR are growing at a steady clip and we are ready to grow the team again to better meet customer demand. We use TypeScript throughout our tech stack and React and React Native for our web and mobile apps. The Role: We are focused on building the strongest team possible. Our Ideal Candidate: You are excited about our mission and our values align with yours 7+ years of full-time, professional experience working on different parts of a system/app Although you can work on the entire stack, you "lean" frontend and have solid experience building web apps Strong software design skills Systems thinker motivated to continually improve the architecture and codebase You are curious and able to dig deep to understand how things work or to root cause problems You reside a timezone that falls within UTC-3 to UTC-8 so that we have overlapping working hours from 8am - 1pm PT daily
