Front Office UI Development Lead

The Role:

A leading investment firm is seeking a Front Office UI Development Lead to spearhead the development of high-performance applications for portfolio managers, strategists, and risk teams. This role is instrumental in shaping the architecture and user experience of tools that enhance data analysis and decision-making in a fast-paced trading environment.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with portfolio managers and researchers to design and implement front-office applications. Work alongside quantitative developers to build robust and efficient system architectures. Ensure that the technical architecture of delivered products is scalable and maintainable.

Required Skills & Experience:

Expertise in TypeScript and React for building single-page applications. Strong experience in architecting and designing UI solutions for financial applications. Ability to engage with end users, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable deliverables. Experience leading small development teams and driving technical direction.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with JavaScript charting/visualization libraries. Familiarity with testing frameworks like Storybook and MSW. Knowledge of Electron for building desktop applications. Exposure to NoSQL and relational databases. Proficiency with Node.js and some Python for backend integrations. Strong grasp of common data structures and financial market data. Fixed income or broader financial markets experience is a plus.
