Job Description

A Luxury Resort located on the East Coast of United Arab Emirates is currently looking for a positive and a like-minded Front Office Manager to join the team with immediate effect. The role is responsible to oversee and manage the overall operations of a resort facility. The resort manager is responsible for various aspects of the resort's function to ensure that guests have a pleasant and enjoyable experience while staying at the resort. Main Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the entire front office department. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations. Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the department up to standards at any time. Participate in the development, implementation and review of the policies, procedures, practices and standards. Assist in hiring and onboarding new front office team members, provide training and guidance on job responsibilities and customer service skills, and conduct performance evaluations. Implement and enforce safety and security protocols. Keep abreast of all emergency procedures, promotions, product knowledge. Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to all guests. Handle inquiries, complaints, and special requests, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions. Maximize revenue through effective rate management, upselling techniques, and implementing revenue optimization strategies. Prepare and manage the front office department budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenses. Analyse financial reports to identify opportunities for cost control and revenue generation. Collaborate and communicate closely with other departments within the property such as housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage, to ensure seamless operations. Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest experience and achieving organizational goals. Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests, corporate clients, and suppliers. Oversee implementation and utilization of front office systems and technology, including property management systems (PMS), reservation systems, and other software applications. Minimum Qualification / Experience / Skills Professional certifications or College qualifications preferably in hospitality management A bachelor's degree in hospitality management, hotel management, or a related field is often preferred. Previous experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in front office operations, is highly valued. Comprehensive understanding of front office operations, including reservation systems, check-in/check-out procedures, guest services, room allocation, and revenue management. Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and other relevant software is also beneficial. Strong leadership and management skills are essential. Excellent customer service skills are vital. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Strong problem-solving skills to address issues that arise in guest services, reservations, billing, or other front office areas. Effective communication is key. Highly organized and skilled in managing their time effectively. A solid understanding of financial management principles is valuable. Proficiency using various technology tools and systems, including property management systems (PMS), reservation software, and other front office-related software and Microsoft Office applications is also beneficial.
