Location : Djibouti We are looking for a Higlhly skilled French Baker and Pastry Chef to prepare delicious All types of French Pastry and baked goods. Prepare baked goods or substitute items. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator. Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish. Maintain food logs. Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared. Communicate assistance needed during busy periods. Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items. Ensure the quality of the food items. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. Accommodations and Transportation will be providedSalary Package : up to 1500.00 $Responsibilities
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check the quality of ingredients
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Skills
Proven experience as a French Baker/Pastry Chef
Knowledge of various baking procedures and methods
Ability to work under a team
Good communication skills
A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
