Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily coffee operations, ensuring exceptional beverage quality and presentation. Prepare all types of coffee drinks (manual brewing, espresso-based, cold brew, etc.) to specialty standards. Train and supervise barista staff on recipes, equipment handling, and customer service. Develop and maintain SOPs (standard operating procedures) for coffee preparation and hygiene standards. Manage stock levels for coffee beans, milk, and other related supplies. Maintain all coffee equipment (grinders, espresso machines, brewers) and liaise with technicians for servicing when needed. Monitor and maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards as per UAE food safety regulations. Suggest seasonal beverages, signature drinks, or improvement in menu offerings. Lead by example in customer service, speed, accuracy, and product knowledge. Handle customer feedback and resolve any coffee-related issues.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Head Barista or Senior Barista in a specialty cafe (minimum 3-5 years). Deep understanding of coffee origins, roast profiles, brewing techniques, and latte art. Certification from recognized coffee institutions is a plus. Ability to lead and mentor junior team members. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays. UAE Food Safety / PIC certification (preferable). Valid freelance permit or ability to work on a freelance basis in the UAE.
